LENITION

I nourished the palms of this lullaby with magnetic milk
In search of my most precious pearl.

I came upon you writhing in the breathable twilight.

To you I bartered
Isles of kaleidoscope marrow,
Tufts of lucent beatification.

Reborn in a house of thunder,
You readied me for storyteller contortion.

Who could resist
This birth of eliding palatine,
This up well of Lascaux precipice?
