MYTHS AND RELICS

She came back, smelling of the river and all that gathers underneath.
Her hair was some form of wild vegetation that crackled with clean.
I wanted souvenirs from the murky floor and she did not disappoint:
A child's sneaker, a chunk of wood and a new myth alive in her eyes.


About Kevin Hibshman:
Kevin Hibshman has had poems published in numerous journals and small magazines worldwide since 1990. In addition, he has authored or co-authored thirteen chapbooks of poetry. The latest, an experimental collaboration with Mark Sonnenfeld, "Yellow Pages", was released earlier this year. Kevin received a BA in Liberal Arts in 2009 from Union Institute and University/Vermont College and is currently compiling poems for a new anthology as well as contemplating ideas for a first novel.
