Was it between the lines
of I Speak of The City
of deep within the vacancies
or an Edward Hopper lighthouse
that I forgot your name
in such perfect representations
of sunlight,
followed by the elemental fire
of your simple gestures
to my habit
of starting my own fires
in empty rooms?

His poetry was nominated for the Pushcart Prize and Rumi Prize for Poetry and won the 2011 Heart Poetry Award.
